BEAIRD TOWER RECEIVES FIRST AT&T FIBER READY DESIGNATION
IN SHREVEPORT AND CADDO PARISH
Shreveport’s Downtown Historic District building receives highest connectivity
SHREVEPORT, LA., NOVEMBER 17, 2015 – AT&T and Shreveport community leaders announced today that the Beaird Tower in the downtown historic district has been designated AT&T Fiber Ready. That means that tenants of Beard Tower have access to the AT&T fiber-based high speed services they need to improve productivity and connect with the world. The Beaird Tower is the first site in the City of Shreveport and Caddo Parish to receive AT&T’s Fiber Ready designation, and is the second AT&T Fiber Ready site in Northwest Louisiana.
Beaird Tower is located in the heart of the central business district of Shreveport and within walking distance of the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce, Shreveport’s main library, commercial banks, law offices, printers, private clubs, the downtown YMCA, United States Courthouse, Caddo Parish Courthouse, Shreveport Government Plaza, Shreveport Convention Center and the riverfront entertainment district. Some of the tenants in the tower include a bank, software developers and logistics company where the availability and dependability of a fiber network is vital to their daily operations.
